The Accountable and Ethical Decision Making Training Program has been designed to help Departmental employees find answers to accountability questions that may arise in their daily work and explain the standards of behaviour expected of them. It has been designed to offer support and guidance to employees in situations where choosing the most appropriate course of action may not necessarily be obvious or clear. The availability and consumption of alcohol on school premises needs to be carefully managed. Schools have a duty to ensure that the supervision of children is appropriate at all times and that the reputation of the school is not damaged by inappropriate behaviour at social occasions.
- Animals in Schools

Animals can enrich learning experiences for students, but it is a requirement that they be used responsibly and ethically adhering to Animal Welfare Act (2002). Schools using animals for teaching and learning activities must obtain prior approval from the Schools Animal Ethics Committee and records of use must be maintained.
