RiskCover is the Managed Fund created to finance the self-insurance arrangements of Western Australian Government Public Authorities (agencies) and to promote risk management throughout Government. This document contains a summary of the classes of cover provided to the Department of Education and Training as a participating member of the RiskCover Fund. It also contains individual Certificates of Currency, which can be reproduced to assist schools in demonstrating their compliance with third party insurance requirements.

A Disabilities Advisory Panel is a small group of people with special expertise who are appointed to advise the Director General about educational provision for students with disabilities or to comment on whether an exclusion order is warranted for a highly disruptive student with a disability.
- Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007-2010

The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2007-2010 (DAIP), provides the framework within which each Directorate and workplace across the Department of Education and Training will work towards providing safe, caring and welcoming learning environments. The Plan identifies positive actions being taken to ensure people with disabilities are accorded respect, are seen as individuals, are heard and have choices about how and where their needs are met. The culture of our Department is demonstrated in the way in which we address diversity across our wide range of schools and workplaces. The DAIP builds on the positive focus that has been a key feature of our services that have evolved since the implementation of the previous Disability Services Plan. The DAIP represents the next step towards full access and participation of students, staff and community members with disabilities.

The Discipline policy applies to teaching staff, public servants and other officers. It does not apply to wages staff. The document may be reviewed in the light of changes to the management of complaints and conduct matters within the Department.
