Implementation of the National Assessment Program Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) Testing - CEO Instruction

As a result of the National Education Agreement, all Western Australian public schools are required to conduct the NAPLAN tests. Principals and teachers are reminded that they are required to perform the duties necessary for the administration and implementation of the NAPLAN testing in public schools.

Information and Communication Technologies Security

Computerised information and computer equipment are provided by the Department to enable employees and authorised third parties to satisfactorily perform their duties. It is recognised that this information, physical equipment and software is at risk of accidental or intentional loss, unauthorised manipulation or unauthorised disclosure. This policy authorises security controls to address those risks.

Injury Management and Workers Compensation

Update 25.7.2007: This policy has been revised to reflect legislative changes. This policy outlines the rights and responsibilities of staff regarding work related injuries and injury management, including details about how to lodge a Workers’ Compensation Claim and support an Injured Employee with a return to work. The policy is based on the Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management Act 1981.

Intellectual Property Management Guidelines for TAFEWA Colleges 2009

These guidelines were issued by the Minister for Education and Training under section 13 of the Vocational Education and Training Act 1996. They outline the powers and obligations of TAFEWA colleges in regard to third party intellectual property and intellectual property that has been developed by staff and students in the course of college business.

International Secondary Student Exchange Programs

Following the introduction of the full fee paying programs in 1990 State and Commonwealth Governments agreed to support the continuance of International Secondary Student Exchange Programs. This was in recognition of the positive benefits of student exchange programs, with reciprocity of exchange accepted in lieu of payment of full fees.
