The Corruption Prevention and Detection policy replaces the Fraud Prevention and Detection policy and has undergone 18 months or revision and consultation. The policy now refers to corruption, which encompasses fraud and better reflects the Premier's Circular 2005/02 Corruption Prevention.

- Duty of Care – VET for School Students (VSS) Attending TAFEWA Colleges

This policy addresses how schools, teaching staff and TAFEWA colleges and staff discharge their duty of care to students. ’Duty of Care’ is a legal concept that has its origins in common law. TAFEWA colleges and schools owe a duty of care to school-based students participating in VSS programs, that is, a duty to take reasonable care for their health and safety. 11.11.09 version 1.1 published with addition of procedural information regarding Working With Children Checks policy.

The policy directs school, district and central planning and actions for the prevention of, preparedness for, response to and recovery from emergencies and critical incidents. As a result of these management processes the safety and health and wellbeing of students, staff, visitors and the broader school community is prioritised and preserved/restored. Further, disruption to student learning and school operations is minimised.

Enrolment policy - under the School Education Act 1999 children are entitled to be enrolled at a public school provided they meet general residential qualifications. Three objectives apply in determining eligibility for a particular school: maximising local access, offering a choice of schools, and ensuring an appropriate educational program. An underlying principle of the policy is that students cannot be enrolled in more than one school. To cater for students attending programs outside of the enrolling school, procedures have been developed for alternative attendance arrangements. A table has been included to assist principals’ awareness of the conditions applying to enrolment of visa holders. 23.04.09 - Version 1.1 published which contains amended forms in appendices F1 and G.
- Family Court Orders in Schools

A principal will allow each parent access to a student and his or her information, unless there is a court order to the contrary. The principal, in allowing such access, will have due regard to the student’s safety and welfare, educational needs, and the proper management of the school. This policy replaces the Family Law Issues in Schools policy.
