Summary: Duty of Care for Students

Description

Duty of care is a legal concept that has its origins in common law. This policy explains what ‘duty of care’ means, how teaching staff may discharge their duty of care to students, and circumstances in which non-teaching staff, external providers and volunteers may owe students a duty of care. 11.11.09 version 1.1 published with addition of procedural information regarding Working With Children Checks policy.
